About the studio

A small New York studio that builds what it proposes.

Kaia Studio is a product studio in New York City. We take rough concepts and ship them as working products — websites, internal tools, AI workflows, automations, and prototypes — with strategy, design, and engineering done by the same small team.

Where

New York City, working with clients remotely and in person

What

Web design, product design, AI workflows, automation, prototypes, custom software

Who for

Founders, operators, and small teams with an idea that needs to exist

Typical first build

A working prototype in about six weeks

What we actually do

Every engagement starts the same way: someone describes the friction, and we work out what would have to exist for the friction to stop. Sometimes the answer is a website. Sometimes an internal tool, an automation, a prototype, or a combination. We choose the medium after the problem, which is why the same people who ran the working session write the code.

The output is always something you can click, hand to a user, or open on a Monday morning — and something your team can keep. Strategy, design, and building happen in one place so good ideas don't get lost between teams.

Who works with us

Founders who need a first version of something, operators whose internal software has outlived its usefulness, and marketing leads whose site stopped representing the business. Mostly small teams where everyone has an opinion and nobody has time to build.

Industries so far include engineering, retail, marketplaces, trading, and internal tooling inside companies you've heard of. The pattern across all of them has been the same: something real that people can open.

How we're different

We don't start with a deliverable. Most firms already know what they want to sell — a website, an app, a strategy deck. We'd rather figure out what needs to exist and then pick the smallest thing that solves it. Working beats impressive, every time, and complexity isn't a feature.

And nothing gets thrown over the wall. You own what we create, and we design it so you can understand it, change it, and keep building without us. That's a commercial choice as much as an ethical one: software you're afraid to touch is a project that comes back anyway.

What's already been built

Six documented case studies sit in the work section: a CAD review workflow for an engineering shop, a D2C storefront rebuilt around one buying decision, a spreadsheet replaced by a real system, a marketplace taken from zero to its first hundred users, a swing-cycle analytics tool for digital-asset traders, and an insights dashboard that killed a monthly export ritual.

This site is also a build. It started as a rough idea, went through the same five steps, and shipped as a static export — which makes it its own case study, and a small advertisement for the process.

If any of that is your situation, the useful next step is fifteen minutes on a call. No deck and no hard sell — just whether we're the right team to build the thing.
